Tauranga RDA Equestrian Therapy Centre


Tauranga RDA Equestrian Therapy Centre provides therapeutic horse related activities for children and adults with physical, mental, cognitive, social or behavioural needs. This includes horse riding, horsemanship and vocational skills. Clients range in age from 3 to 65.
Tauranga Riding for the Disabled provides equestrian therapy programmes and equine interaction programmes for people from the Tauranga and Western Bay of Plenty regions who are challenged by disability or who are at-risk. The programmes are designed to develop and nurture confidence, independence, and well-being and provide life skills.
The goal is to assist clients achieve their goals and enable them to participate more fully as members of their community.

We pride ourselves in being a centre that provides something for everyone in the WBOP community. This includes; therapy riding and horse care, volunteering, work experience, holiday programmes, student placements, riding lessons, workshops, gala days, and a place to relax.
